EDITORIAL GUIDELINES and Templates
PROCEDURE FOR MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
- Authors are strongly encouraged to consult the Editorial Guidelines prior to submitting a manuscript.
- Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published nor be under consideration for publication in another journal.
- Each submission must be accompanied by a Letter of submission addressed to the Editor-in-Chief, stating that all authors agree with the authorship order and the content of the manuscript.
- For manuscript submission, authors must provide a Copyright Transfer Agreement.
- Authors are required to suggest three to five potential reviewers who are experts in the subject area and are not affiliated with the authors’ institution.
- When registering the authors of the manuscript, include the email address and ORCID identifier for each author. https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9489-4054.
Manuscript Submission Process
a) Manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform: https://www.terralatinoamericana.org.mx
b) The evaluation process will be supervised exclusively through the OJS platform and solely through communication with the corresponding author.
c) Log in using your username and password. If you do not yet have an account, please complete the registration process.
d) Click on “New Submission” and complete all required fields.
e) If the manuscript falls within the scope of the journal and complies with the Editorial Guidelines, a Section Editor will be assigned, who in turn will appoint the reviewers.
f) All manuscripts submitted for publication are subject to a rigorous peer-review process, in which each manuscript is independently evaluated by three reviewers. Reviewers will issue a decision of acceptance (with minor or major revisions) or rejection.
g) Terra Latinoamericana charges a manuscript processing fee of $1,500.00 MXN and an article publication fee of $8,500.00 MXN for accepted manuscripts. The total processing and publication fee per article is $10,000.00 MXN.
